All eyes were on Melania Trump at Jimmy Carter’s funeral

Melania Trump, who is days away from returning to the White House as a First Lady, caught the attention of the public with the unusual outfit she wore at former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral.

A number of former presidents attended the funeral of former President Carter, including Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W Bush. As expected, President Biden was also in attendance along with his wife.

Donald and Melania Trump were both in attendance when Jimmy Carter’s official state funeral service was held at the Washington National Cathedral last week.

Her fashion statement caused a stir on the social media, and this isn’t the first time her choice of outfit to spark controversy.

Her fashion statement caused a stir on the social media, and this isn’t the first time her choice of outfit to spark controversy.

Melania opted for a black Valentino trench coat, but it was the Peter Pan-style collar atop of it with a “rose-kiss,” print, of a 19th-century sculpture by Auguste Rodin, that caught the eyes of many.

As per Women’s Wear Daily, this print was incorporated into multiple pieces in Valentino’s fall 2019 collection.

And while some loved the way she looked, others criticized her yet again.

“I’m glad this time, Melania found an appropriate black dress to wear to a funeral,” one individual stated.

“She just got off the Mayflower,” a second commented.

Others compared Melania Trump to a “pilgrim.”

“WTF is Melania wearing did the nun store have a sale,” a third person commented, per the Daily Beast.

“Melania wearing a pilgrim outfit,” a fourth said, while a fifth added, “Looks like our next four years of ‘What the f— is Melania wearing?’ starts today.”

A sixth person concluded, “Did Melania just finish up cleaning the bathroom?”

In the past, the public and the media criticized Melania for her outfits.

This includes the time in 2017 when she accompanied her husband to the G7 summit in Sicily and wore a Dolce and Gabana floral coat that cost $51,000. At the time, USA Today reported it was the equivalent of an average American’s household income.

Stephanie Grisham, former White House press secretary and author of the book I’ll Take Your Questions Now, recalled a specific moment when Trump went mad over his wife’s “mistake,” which made him target of wide criticism. Namely, on her way to a migrant housing facility in Texas, Melania wore a jacket with the text “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?”

In an attempt to help improve the image of her husband’s administration, Melania’s wrong choice of wardrobe only made things worse, and she eventually abandoned the program.

Another thing that many noticed about Melania was that she was unusually sad. The reason behind this was that President Carter’s funeral was on the one-year-anniversary of the passing of Melania Trump’s mother, Amalija Knavs.

Amalija passed away last year at 78, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.

  • Why Kay’Ana Adams Was Fired for a Tattoo: Her Story Revealed

Why Kay’Ana Adams Was Fired for a Tattoo: Her Story Revealed

Tattoos often spark debates about personal expression and professionalism. For Kay’Ana Adams, a firefighter in Alabama, her tattoo became the center of a workplace controversy that ultimately cost her job. Her story raises critical questions about individuality and rigid workplace policies. Find out why Kay’Ana Adams got fired for a tattoo.

The Tattoo That Sparked a Controversy

Kay’Ana Adams, a firefighter with the Mobile Fire Department, faced termination just nine months into her job in 2023. The issue? A tattoo on the back of her head that she got in June 2022. According to Kay’Ana, the department’s policy at the time only prohibited tattoos on the face or neck. Confident she was in compliance, she believed her tattoo, which could be covered by her hair, adhered to the rules.

“I figured mine could be done in decency and order. I could also, based on the rules, cover it up,” she shared in an interview with WKRG.

However, her tattoo became the subject of a complaint, prompting an investigation. To comply, Kay’Ana grew out her hair as instructed by the department, but the complaints didn’t stop. Her hair texture and growth rate became the next point of contention, highlighting the unique challenges faced by individuals with diverse hair types in workplace settings.

A Sudden Policy Change and Termination

In a dramatic twist, the Mobile Fire Department updated its tattoo policy, banning head tattoos altogether just months after Kay’Ana got hers. Despite her efforts to comply with both the old and new policies, her job was still at risk.

On November 10, 2023, a captain took a photo of her covered tattoo. Hours later, she was fired.

“Definitely blindsided,” Kay’Ana told Local12. “I never thought it would come to this, especially considering I was in compliance.”

Her dismissal sparked conversations about fairness in workplace policies and how personal expression can clash with professional standards. Public Safety Director Lawrence Battiste later confirmed her termination, citing a failure to meet departmental standards.

    The Meaning Behind Her Tattoo

For Kay’Ana, her tattoo was more than just ink; it carried a deep, personal meaning. Diagnosed with scoliosis, she saw the tattoo as a symbol of resilience and perseverance.

“My tattoos are an extension of who I am as a person,” she explained. “I got the tattoo to tell myself and others that you can still achieve certain goals regardless of the obstacles in front of you.” – said Kay’Ana Adams who got fired for a tattoo.

Scoliosis is a condition where the spine curves abnormally, often leading to physical challenges. Despite her diagnosis, Kay’Ana became a firefighter, a testament to her determination and strength.

Was the Tattoo the Real Reason?

Kay’Ana believes her termination was not solely about the tattoo. She had previously raised concerns about workplace issues, including sexist comments and inappropriate behavior during training sessions. In one instance, she called out colleagues for joking about tying nooses, a comment she found deeply offensive.

Her outspoken nature may have made her a target, leading to escalating tensions with the department. Two supportive captains, Jason Craig and Rodrick Shoots, faced repercussions for standing by her. Craig was suspended for 30 days, and Shoots was fired for allegedly obstructing orders.

Battiste claimed the actions against the captains were due to insubordination and policy violations. However, the timing raised questions about whether the department was addressing legitimate concerns or retaliating against employees who challenged its practices.

What Does Kay’Ana’s Story Teach Us?

Kay’Ana’s experience sheds light on the ongoing tension between individuality and workplace conformity. Her case raises important questions: Should workplaces adapt to embrace diversity and personal expression, or should traditional standards take precedence?

Her story is a reminder that workplace policies should strike a balance between professionalism and inclusivity. It challenges us to think critically about how rules and biases impact individuals, especially those who dare to stand out.

What are your thoughts? Is it time for workplaces to evolve and embrace individuality, or should tradition and uniformity remain the standard?

  • William and Kate: Sad news before Christmas

William and Kate: Sad news before Christmas

Ever since the world learned of Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, all eyes have been on her and her husband, Prince William.

Back in January, 2024, the beloved princess underwent a planned abdominal surgery.

Following it, she disappeared from the spotlight.

This caused a stir, with speculations about her health condition and her whereabouts making headlines.

Then, in March, 2024, Kate Middleton disclosed her cancer diagnosis with the public. She asked for privacy while dealing with the treatments. In a video she shared, she said it had taken her time to recover from the surgery and “to explain everything” to her children George, Charlotte and Louis.

“As I said to them, I am well, and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal. In my mind, body and spirits. Having William by my side is a great source of comfort,” Kate said in the video.

Thankfully, she recovered from the cancer and is now attending public events. She has also returned to some of her royal duties.

Although that chapter of her life is behind her, the public has been eager to learn what type of cancer the princess suffered from.

Allegedly, William and Kate broke their silence right before Christmas and shared that the Princess’ diagnosis was a stage two stomach cancer.

The mum-of-three shared her “relief” after finishing her treatment, adding that the last nine months have been “incredibly tough.”

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Kate said in the video message shared by Kensington Palace in September of last year. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

Kate described her cancer journey as “complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone.”

“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”

Kate Middleton now focuses on staying cancer free.

  • With tears in their eyes, Jase and Missy Robertson make the heartbreaking announcement

With tears in their eyes, Jase and Missy Robertson make the heartbreaking announcement

Mia Robertson, the youngest daughter of Duck Dynasty’s Jase & Missy Robertson, has been born with a condition known as cleft lip and palate, a gap in the upper lip that can involve the gum as well.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shares that about one in every 1,600 babies is born with a cleft lip with a cleft palate in the U.S.

Because of her condition, sweet Mia, who is now 18 years old, has been forced to undergo 13 surgeries, with the 14th taking place just recently. The family truly hopes this would be Mia’s last procedure before her problem is finally solved.

Throughout every surgery, the young girl remains positive. What’s most, she hopes she serves as inspiration for other young children who are born with the same condition. On her own initiative and with the help of her family, Mia established the Mia Moo Fund in order to assist in making certain that each and every child wears a smile on their face.

“One of the functions of the Mia Moo Fund is to spread awareness of the cleft lip and palate journey,” Missy Robertson told Christian Post. “The other one is to help with medical funds for the parents and the families living right here in America.”

On his podcast Unashamed, Jase Robertson shared an update on Mia’s condition and said that his daughter is recovering well.

“She’s doing great. She’s turned a corner,” he said, and then added, “Everything seems great, seems to be fine.”

“Surgery went a little longer than expected, but she is home and recovering,” the loving father told his podcast listeners. “Thank you for praying for her and for our family. She is a champion!”

Before the surgery took place, Missy spoke of her daughter’s condition and explained that she had been constantly asked about the number of procedures Mia would need to undergo in the future. “There is never any other response than ‘We just don’t know,’” Missy said. She then added that they rely on God for assistance. “Since she is 18 now, she is taking the lead in all the discussions and medical forms. It’s been a little strange,” Missy wrote. “But it’s just another reminder to lean on the Lord and that I’m not in control.”

Mia also hopes that she’s at “the finish line.”

“Hopefully the last time I’ll see my doctors in this setting! It’s been a long road but we are at the finish line,” brave Mia said.

Sadly, in the past, 2002 to be exact, the family suffered the loss of their unborn child. Missy suffered miscarriage between eight and ten weeks into her second pregnancy and that loss deeply affected them, both physically and emotionally. Mia was welcomed into the world shortly after.

The Robertson’s have now been preparing for a new addition to the family as they open the doors to their hearts and home for a child whose mother was unfit to take care of.

    We wish Mia speedy recovery.

  • Numbness or tingling sensations in your hands

Numbness or tingling sensations in your hands

Has it ever happened that you woke up and felt numbness or tingling sensations in your hands? If the answer is yes, you are not alone.

The good thing is that this sensation, that feels like pins-and-needles isn’t dangerous all by itself.

As per the Mayo Clinic, “Numbness alone isn’t usually associated with potentially dangerous disorders, such as strokes or tumors.”

What’s most, numbness or tingling sensations in your hands can be easy to overcome.

One of the reasons behind this “condition” can be the sleeping position. If you slept with your hands under your body for most of the night, you are likely to lose the sensations in your hands in the morning.

Further, the tingly sensation may appear because of repetitive movements with the hands and the fingers such as using tools, typing, or writing. These repetitive movements can lead to compression of the nerves over time, and an example of that is the condition known as carpal tunnel syndrome, a common condition affecting the median nerve in the wrist.

“If the condition persists, it can cause permanent nerve damage. Sometimes surgery is necessary to relieve the pressure,” as per Healthline.

The numbness or tingling sensations in your hands and feet can also be a result of vitamin B12 deficiency, common at vegans and vegetarians.

This vitamins is found in eggs, meat, dairy, and fortified cereals, but it also comes in the form of supplements.

When calcium, potassium, or sodium levels drop in the body, it can disrupt nerve signals, causing tingling sensations. This is often due to dehydration, specific medications, or underlying health issues.

To avoid this, maintain balance by staying hydrated, consume nutrient-rich foods, and seek medical advice if the symptoms continue.

Peripheral nerves can be damaged at people with long-term high blood sugar, leading to diabetic neuropathy. This condition is also connected with numbness, tingling, or even burning sensations in the hands and feet.

Nerves can get compressed because of a herniated disc or neck spondylosis, too.

Autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and poor circulation can also cause the sensation of numbness and tingling, as well as non-cancerous growths like ganglion cysts and certain infections.

Although hand numbness can often be caused by something not harmful, if it persists, require medical attention.

The photos were very old, lacking color and taken years ago, simply relatively ordinary memories.

The only reason Randy decided to buy that box was because he found the photos inside rather cool and unique.

Once home, he began to flick through the photos and that’s when he noticed what appeared to be a familiar face, that of Billy the Kid, known as one of the Wild West’s most notorious outlaws.

Billy the Kid, whose real name was William H. Bonney, was killed in 1881 at the age of 23, after living a life as a fugitive.

  • Experts Are Shedding Light on the ‘Death Rattle’ Phenomenon Before Passing

Experts Are Shedding Light on the ‘Death Rattle’ Phenomenon Before Passing

When someone is nearing the end of life, their body undergoes many changes, some of which may occur months before their passing. However, in the final 24 hours, loved ones may witness a common and often unsettling phenomenon—a noise known as the ‘death rattle.’

    What is the ‘Death Rattle’?

According to Medical News Today, the ‘death rattle’ is caused by changes in breathing patterns and the buildup of secretions in the throat. Hospice Nurse Julie, an expert in end-of-life care, describes the sound:

“This is just a collection of a small bit of saliva in the back of the throat that just sounds really bad.”

Julie adds that fever is also common during this stage:

“We lose the ability to control the core temperature, so our temperature will fluctuate at the end of life. Again, it’s all very normal and part of the death and dying process if you are dying naturally at home.”

What Does the ‘Death Rattle’ Sound Like?

The ‘death rattle’ occurs when a person’s ability to swallow diminishes, allowing secretions to build up in the respiratory tract. The sound is often described as a “crackling, wet noise” that grows louder with each breath.

Some describe it as a faint groaning or snoring sound, while others liken it to a louder gurgling noise. Despite its alarming nature, it’s important to note that the individual is not experiencing pain or discomfort during this process.

Research shows that the average lifespan after the onset of the death rattle is around twenty-five hours. However, the process tends to last longer for those receiving hospice care compared to hospital patients.

What Can You Do to Ease the ‘Death Rattle Noise’?

While the ‘death rattle’ is a natural part of the dying process, there are ways to reduce its intensity to comfort those nearby:

    • Turn the person onto their side to allow secretions to drain.
    • Raise their head slightly to promote drainage.
    • Moisten their mouth with damp swabs to keep it hydrated.
    • Use suction to remove secretions when appropriate.
    • Limit fluid intake to prevent excessive secretions.
    • Administer medications designed to clear secretions, as prescribed by medical professionals.

It’s important to understand that while these measures can help reduce the noise, they likely won’t eliminate it entirely. Medical professionals can provide explanations and support to help loved ones cope with the situation.

    A Natural Process

The ‘death rattle’ may sound distressing to family and friends, but it’s a natural stage of the dying process. Loved ones should take solace in knowing that the individual is not in pain or distress.

Understanding the phenomenon and its implications can help bring comfort and clarity during this difficult time. By being present and informed, families can focus on providing love and support as their loved one transitions peacefully.

  • With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a sweet angel

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a sweet angel

The parents of Ryleigh Hillcoat-Bee, a three-year-old who died of a rare condition, are left outraged after learning their daughter’s life could be saved.

The little girl suffered from rhabdomyolysis, a disorder that breaks down muscles. She died of complications from the condition that affects one in 200,000 people in the UK.

Coroner Alan Wilson for Blackpool and Fylde determined that the doctors who treated her failed to notice the “red flags” before discharging her from the hospital after a five-day stay.

They had missed opportunities to closely examine Ryleigh’s lack of mobility prior to her discharge. She passed away three months later.

Doctors should have been aware that the girl’s deteriorating physical state could be linked with a neuromuscular problem.

According to reports, when she was admitted into Blackpool Victoria Hospital, doctors ran tests and her blood results showed abnormal readings, including ‘extraordinarily high’ levels of Creatine Kinase, likely indicating a muscle injury or disease. Despite this, doctors determined the girl suffered from a chest infection or hepatitis. She appeared slow, floppy, and lethargic.

Coroner Wilson confirmed to request evidence from the doctors involved in Ryleigh’s care at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, as reported by Blackpool Gazette.

Medical negligence attorney Diane Rostron noted, “The hospital was given clear advice… to get specialist advice from a neuromuscular specialist.”

According to Rostron, had the hospital sought specialist input, they could have “diagnosed rhabdomyolysis” and informed the family, allowing them to explore further treatment options.

We are so very sorry for the loss of Ryleigh Hillcoat-Bee. We hope her family will find the closure they deserve. May she rest in peace.

  • Mel Gibson proposed a ‘crazy’ conspiracy theory about the LA wildfires after his home was destroyed, which left many baffled

Mel Gibson proposed a ‘crazy’ conspiracy theory about the LA wildfires after his home was destroyed, which left many baffled

Actor Mel Gibson has presented his own theory regarding the LA wildfires, and it left many baffled.

The Mad Max star lost his £12million Malibu home in the fires. That prompted a reaction from him that led to backlash.

“I can make all kinds of horrible theories up in my head – conspiracy theories and everything else – but it just seemed a little convenient that there was no water.

“And that the wind conditions were right and that there are people ready and willing and able to start fires,” he said, believing that the destruction could have been “commissioned” to clear homes off valuable land.

Following the reports that a suspect was arrested in relation to starting one of the fires, the actor asked if that person, whose identity hasn’t been revealed, was acting on their own or he could have been “commissioned” to do what he had done.

“They seem pretty well equipped, some of these people that they’re catching.

“I know they were missing with the water, letting reserves go for one reason or another,” Gibson said in a recent interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham for The Ingraham Angle.

“They’ve been doing that a while. California has a lot of problems that sort of baffle the mind as far as wh

    y they do things.”

“And then in events like this, you sort of look, well, it is on purpose?

“Which, it’s an insane thing to think. But one begins to ponder whether or not there is a purpose in mind. What could it be? You know, what do they want? The state empty? I don’t know,” he added.

“But they seem pretty well equipped, these people that they are catching.”

His claims sparked controversy among people.

“Conspiracy theories are his last claims to fame,” someone wrote on Twitter. “While people in California are fighting fires, these two are busy lighting fires,” another added. “Shameful,” a third posted.

Ingraham commented on what Gibson had to say, saying there have already been rumblings about high-density housing in the areas affected by the fires. The award-winning actor compared the situation with “old cattle barons clearing people off the land.”
